Dallas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett Applauded the May 31 2022 Victory
Crockett Wins Texas State Rep Runoff
DALLAS, TX - Today, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett applauded the May 31, 2022 victory of Texas state Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Dallas) in her runoff for the seat. Crockett, 41, won the runoff with 53% of the vote, defeating her opponent, businesswoman and former Dallas City Council member Sandy Greyson.
In a statement, Crockett said, "I am humbled and honored to have won the runoff election for Texas State Representative. I want to thank the voters of House District 100 for placing their trust in me. I am committed to working hard every day to represent their interests in the Texas Legislature."
According to her website, Crockett is a state representative, civil rights attorney, and proud lifetime member of the NAACP. As a state representative, she serves on the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence, the House Committee on Homeland Security and Public Safety, and the House Committee on Transportation.
