Stefanie Giesinger Wins Germany’s 'Next Top Model'

Season 9 Finale Recap

Stefanie Giesinger, a 17-year-old high school student from Kaiserslautern, Germany, was crowned the winner of "Germany's Next Top Model" (GNTM) on Thursday night, May 8th. Giesinger beat out 12 other contestants to win the title and a €100,000 (about $111,000) modeling contract with IMG Models after 14 weeks of intense competition.

The finale was a star-studded event held at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany. Heidi Klum, the show's creator and host, was joined by a panel of judges that included Thomas Hayo, Wolfgang Joop, and Michael Michalsky.

Giesinger's Road to Victory

Giesinger had been a standout competitor throughout the season, consistently impressing the judges with her strong work ethic, versatility, and natural beauty. She won several challenges, including a photoshoot in which she posed as a mermaid and a runway walk in which she wore a dress made entirely of feathers.

In the final episode, Giesinger faced off against two other finalists, Vanessa Fuchs and Fata Hasanovic. The three finalists participated in a final runway show, after which the judges deliberated and cast their votes.

Giesinger's victory was a surprise to many, as Fuchs and Hasanovic had been considered the frontrunners throughout the season. However, Giesinger's strong performance in the final episode convinced the judges that she was the most deserving of the title.

Giesinger's win is a significant achievement, as "Germany's Next Top Model" is one of the most popular and prestigious modeling competitions in the world. As the winner, Giesinger will have the opportunity to launch a successful career in the fashion industry.
