Openers Haseeb Hameed and Keaton Jennings put on 102 for the first wicket, before Jennings was dismissed for 50. Hameed went on to make 82, and captain Ben Duckett contributed 75.

Pakistan's bowlers toiled hard, but they were unable to make any significant breakthroughs. Shaheen Afridi was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3-82.
